Commenting on the Superior Beverly Hills Elite Auction, Executive Vice President and COO Larry Abbott said, "We are very pleased to have built upon the outstanding results of our May Beverly Hills Elite Auction and August Denver Elite Auction, with this third successful auction in five months. We attribute the successful sale of nearly $22 million in value in these past three sales to the fact that we have attracted a large number of consignments that are completely fresh to the market. Fresh consignments generate bidder excitement, and this has been the key to our success. The Dr. Eugene Goertzen Collection of Hawaiian coins is an excellent example of such a fresh consignment. This collection saw some truly astounding prices for Hawaiian Coinage, including an 1883 Eighth Dollar PCGS certified PF66, which sold for $87,400."

Mr. Abbott continued, "We are now concentrating our efforts on our November 16-17, 2006 Santa Clara Elite auction, to be held in conjunction with the Santa Clara Show, where Superior Galleries is the official auctioneer. That event will feature the $1 million Nevada Collection, which is filled with hard-to-find collector coins, and will be sold completely without reserve. Our November 2006 Santa Clara Auction currently has more value consigned to it than any past Superior Galleries Santa Clara auction. It should be a very exciting event."
